Artist Director PAN YU-CHEN

Having paticipated in various performances with many modern dance troupes since 1994, Pan Yu-Chen has accumulated considerable performing experiences and collaborated with groups such as “Dance Forum Taipei”, “Century Contemporary Dance Company”, “Sun-Shier Dance Theatre”, “Lin HH Dance” and other independent dance choreographers. At the same time, she also began to teach and choreograph dance work at an early stage and has worked previously in many of the Taipei municipal elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools and universities leaving behind a legacy of her works and creations. Pan is a well educated young artist with extensive experience in dance choreography, performing, teaching and research.
Graduated from Department of Dance (Masters), University of Taipei, graduated from Department of Dance (Bachelor), National Taiwan University of Arts. Currently serves as part-time instructor at Taipei Municipal Zhong-Zheng Senior High School, Bei An Junior High School and Fu Jen Catholic University.

Main Experiences:
1995 and 1996 respectively won the Best Dance Choreography Award in Taiwan National Dance Competition
1997 and 1998: Received invitations from Taipei Representative Office in U.K. to attend performances in Portugal and Spain
1998: performed “A Man In A Room Gambling” by Li Meiguang in “Asia Youth Dance Choreography Camp”
2004: Participated in “East Meeting” by “Assembly Dance Theatre” in the New York International Dance Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe
2008: Participated in “International Dance Therapy” workshop
2008: Participated in “A New Era of Dance Education cum Action Education” International Forum
2014: Invited to participate in Malaysia Sibu International Dance Festival performance and organized lectures, forums, and teaching exchange activities
2015 Led Juedai Contemporary Jazz Dance Theater to participate in 2015 Fringe Manila Festival
2016 Invited to participate in 2016 Beijing Dance Festival.
2016 Invited to participate in 2016 WDA-AP Conference Dance Festival
